14. August 2018
Only three months to go! Along with EY, etventure is set to launch the new wavespace in Berlin’s Kreuzberg in mid-November – the new and unique Innovation Center that enables radical disruption and takes digital innovation and co-creation to the next level.
Inspiring technology, execution-oriented experts and a global ecosystem come together to drive the next wave of digital transformation. But three months can feel like a long time. So while we wait for the wraps to come off, we thought we’d report on the construction of the new #WavespaceBerlinXBerg, introduce the team behind the major project and show how we’ll take you to the next level of digital transformation. Follow the updates here on our blog and via our social media channels.
wavespace?
wavespace is the name of the 18 Innovation Centers that EY has established around the globe, from Seattle to Tel Aviv, from Dubai to Sydney. The goal: to drive forward the development of technologies and innovations in new ways and to open up completely new perspectives for companies off the beaten track. Each wavespace is different and focuses on a specific form of technology and innovation.
Spearheaded by etventure, the new Berlin flagship will join the ranks of this global network as of November, with a focus on the “Future of Industries”. The objective for the space is clear:
The next level of co-creation!
With wavespace we are establishing a unique tech ecosystem and build a platform for co-creation between established companies, start-ups, digital experts and other stakeholders. Leveraging advancements in data analytics, artificial intelligence and IoT, and leveraging etventure’s innovation methods, new digital business models are jointly developed and directly implemented in prototyping spaces and a data lab. Berlin’s duo of the Kreuzberg wavespace and the Friedrichstrasse wavespace will strengthen our role within this “melting pot” for innovation.
Tradition meets disruption, inside and out
With a new 5th floor purpose built for wavespace, the 1,500 square meters space sits atop the famed red brick walls of the Aqua Carrée at Berlin’s Moritzplatz. Originally built as a fittings and metal goods factory at the end of the 19th century, the building now houses artists and creative agencies, and counts an electronic music club as a tenant, albeit at different business hours. It’s a fitting story: A traditional building where breakthroughs happen, where forward looking individuals interact, and where legacy lives on.
And that much can already be revealed: etventure’s offices are also moving. We’re going closer to wavespace – in fact, as close as one can be. etventure will as of November occupy the 4th floor of the Aqua Carrée!
